Terry Hargraves Obituary
Terry L. Hargraves, 66, of Portage, WI passed away on April 27, 2018 with his son (Scott) and daughter (Kim) by his side. He was born in Rockford on October 6, 1951 to George and Edna (Carlson) Hargraves. He marched for the Phantom Regiment and played softball for many years after that. Terry retired at the age of 50 from Axberg Heating and moved to Wunder Er’de Campground in Wisconsin. Throughout his life, he touched the hearts of so many people.
Terry will be missed greatly by those who knew and loved him. He was a fighter and a strong man and was always the first to help someone in need. Terry could build anything from just about nothing and that was his passion.
Survivors include Scott Hargraves (son); Kimberly Hargraves Rote (daughter); Raven Hargraves (granddaughter); Trevor Hargraves (grandson); Brooke Hargraves (granddaughter); Lexi Rote (granddaughter); and Zach Kelley (grandson); Betty Bloom, Butch and Stephanie Bloom, Guy and Bonnie Blakely, BeBee Barrett, Brad Bloom, Bruce Bloom, Larry and Judie Dawson, Ronnie Wight, Ronald Wight, Sr.; many cousins, nieces and nephews as well as longtime friend, Tom Kuczynski. Predeceased by: parents; Linda (sister); Nancy (sister); Randy (brother); Robert Bloom and longtime friend, Robert Kuczynski.
Visitation will be held from 10:30am to 11:30am with Memorial Service at 11:30am on Saturday, May 19, 2018 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 4311 North Mulford Road, Loves Park, IL 61111. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
