Susan M. Peterson

Susan M. Peterson, 59, of Rockford, passed away February 16, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 27, 1959 in Rockford to Lester and Joan (Cobb) Holt. She married Scott Peterson on April 4, 2000 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Susan enjoyed being a Nanny for many years. She was also the general manager at Curves and went on to be a caregiver at Milestone. Susan had a passion for gardening and working in the outdoors. She was an avid Chicago Bears, Cubs and Bulls fan. Her family was most important to her. She loved spending time with them, especially her children and grandchildren. 

Survivors include her husband, Scott; children, Kristin Hultgren and Brent (Xaveriana) Hultgren; step-daughter, Jennifer (Richard) Kniazuk; grandchildren, Hannah Lee and Zaiden Hultgren; father, Lester Holt; siblings, Darlene Kneubuehl and Jeff (Lynn) Holt. Predeceased by her mother, Joan Holt and numerous aunts and uncles. 

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 2:00 pm. in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, Illinois 61111 with Pastor Gordy Smith officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Memorial contributions can be made to Agrace Hospice & Palliative Care, 7290 Argus Dr., Rockford, IL 61107.
