Shirley Ann Nalan

Shirley Ann Nalan, 83, of Rockford, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 after a long illness. She was born on November 16, 1934 in Rockford to Harrison and Kathryn Wright. Shirley enjoyed fishing and bird watching. She also loved spending time with her children. 

Survivors include her children, Christine (Bill Carter) Nalan, Charles (Cindy) Nalan, Dale (Brenda) Nalan, Timothy (Tina Dalcollo) Nalan, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Charles "Charlie" Nalan; sisters, Dorothy Myers and Allileah Nelson; two brothers and special fishing friend, Clarence Bader.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 20, 2018 in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, Illinois at 2:30 p.m. with visitation from 1:30 p.m. until time of service. Burial at New Milford Cemetery.
