I love you Dad. It’s been years since I’ve been home.. since I’ve seen you. I got so busy growing up and becoming a woman that I never made it back in time. I’ve missed you so much for years that now, I just feel heartbroken. Thankyou for the Friday mornings and the weekends at the track and fishing and movies and midnight junk food runs. Thankyou for holding my hand through pregnancy and being an amazing grandfather. Thankyou for accepting my decisions and supporting me 100%. Thankyou for loving me and being my dad. Watch over me and the kids, Daddy. I’ve been working so hard the past few years to make you proud.. Now you see it. I’ve been begging since I moved down here for you to move in with me. Now I finally get to bring you home.. just never in the way I imagined. We haven’t talked much this year. I’ve been trying to get that promotion (finally got it, Dad. I was gonna tell you but never got the chance) and you had the business. I was so proud of you Dad. I wish life never got in the way and I wish we could’ve fixed everything.
