Ronell "Ron" Lavern Freeze

Ronell "Ron" Lavern Freeze, 68, of Rockford, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017. Born on February 6, 1949 in Rockford to Lavern and Eleanore (Nelson/Nimrod) Freeze. Ron graduated from East High School in 1968. Ron loved cars, motorcycles, Cruise Night, swap meets, baseball, movies, animals and children. But, most of all, he loved being with and talking to people. He was an honorary uncle many times over and did lots of babysitting, pet sitting and house sitting. He had a great sense of humor and would laugh at himself as much as others. 

He is survived by his niece, Kerstin Johnson and many friends. He is predeceased by his parents and sister, Janell (Denny) Hayes. 

A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, Illinois 61111.
