Ronald Moore Obituary

Ronald Eugene Moore, 80, of Rockford, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018. He was born on December 28, 1937 in Mansfield, Ohio to Margaret (Lantz) and J. Lowell Moore. He graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelors degree in Business Management. He married Lois Valtinson in Rockford in 1983. He was employed as Vice President in Human Resources/Industrial Relations including National Lock and Lee Rowan in St. Louis, Missouri. Ron was a veteran of the United States Air Force and National Guard. Retirement included always keeping busy! He was on the property board at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. He also enjoyed painting, planting bushes and enjoying the men's group. Three months of winter were spent in Florida for 20 years and spring/summer at Ingersoll Golf Course as a starter. Every year he spent 3 to 4 weeks doing land tours of countries with many special memories. At Christmas he recruited and rang the bell for the Red Kettle Campaign for the Salvation Army. 

Survivors include his wife, Lois Moore; son, Michael (Susan) Moore and their children, Mariah (Kyler), Alex and Christopher; son, Steven (Denise) Moore and their children, Amber and Matthew; daughter, Jennifer and her children, Natalie and Sean; step-son, Dean (Nancy) Lindeman and their children, Eric (Stephanie), Tricia and Katy (Ben); step-son, Dave Lindeman; step-daughter, Jill (Jeff) Polsean and their children, Kalah (Hugo), Jeffrey and Maggie (Ben); four great-grandchildren; sister, Charlene (Harry) Frietchen; several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents. 

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, Illinois 61111 with Pastor Chuck Rife officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial at Scandinavian Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign  or The Rockford Rescue Mission.
