Ronald William Harling

Ronald William Harling, 73, of Rockford formerly of Belvidere passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019. Born April 25, 1946 in Belvidere to Harold L. and Nellye Mae (Seble) Harling. A veteran of the National Guard. Married Jo Lynne Sandy in June of 1991 in Belvidere. Ronald enjoyed reading, tractor pulls and working on combines. He also loved Jesus, to farm and collect toy tractors.

Survivors include sons, Michael (Carie) Harling of Rockford, Mark Harling of Belvidere, Matthew (Sue) Harling of Poplar Grove; grandchildren, Taylor (Corey) Haile, Dakota, Hunter, Logan, Clayton, Hunter, Jackson, Liam, Ashlyn (Taylor) Stumpf, Tyler, Alyssa, Gracelyn; great grandchildren, Trinity, Presley, Brinley, Amelia; step-children, Mark Young, Blain Young, Darcy Young; and mother of his children, Linda (Tom) Dixon. Predeceased by parents; and daughter, Rhonda Harling.

Memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2019 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park with military honors at 12:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Heartland Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association.
