His Aunts, Vicky Chandler and Louise Franks would also take in Rodney along with his cousin, Louis Maze, for some time before being reconnected with his mother and siblings. In 1975 he would come to live at his now hometown of Rockford, IL with his other siblings, Andre (brother), Theresa (sister), Kim (sister), Patricia (Sister) Ray Jr. (Brother), and La’Drea (Sister). Growing up Rodney was a fan of sports and was a state champion wrestler and football player at Rockfords own Auburn High School. Although college was an option Rodney worked as a handyman and detailer of cars for several years before retiring in 2005. He would have no plans on leaving his hometown once he met and married his loving wife of 27 years, Natasha Fair. They would marry Rodney would have a total of 6 children in his life Damario (son), Shaqueal (son), Rhonda (daughter), Chris (son), Deandre (son), and Lil Ronnie (son - deceased). He To many Rodney was a friend, and to others he was considered family. But for anyone to have known him knew that he loved and treated everyone the same, who had a huge heart and personality to everyone he met. His journey would end Monday, January 6, 2020, the day of his son Damario’s 27th Birthday when he passed peacefully in his sleep. While physically he might no longer be with us his love for us all carries on and our memories of him will live on forever. God hath collected but another angel to fight the great fight.
