My thoughts and prayers go out to Pat's entire family. I think back to the East High days and remember our 4 years together as a classmate and teammate. There were many good times on and off the field. Then we crossed paths again when we were neighbors. I pray that all of the wonderful memories will carry you through this difficult and trying time.

I am very sorry for your loss. It's very hard to deal with the death of someone you love like Patrick. About 3 years ago we lost my eldest sister in death due to a car accident. It was a very painful shock. We were just trying to get by and my loving mum died last year. To say the past few years have been devastating for my family is an understatement. But the promises from our heavenly Father Jehovah has helped us cope. In Acts 24:15 we read "there is going to be a resurrection of the dead" and then in Rev. 21:4 Jehovah assures us "God will wipe out tears from our eyes and death will be no more". Knowing that there is hope of seeing them again helps us deal with the pain and soothes our hearts. Ps. 37:11,29 "the meek will possess the earth and live forever on earth". So we look forward to a time when we will see our dear loved ones again and we can live on a peaceful, beautiful paradise earth according to God's original purpose for humans and the earth. The pain of losing a loved one in death doesn't go away but I am confident Jehovah the God of all comfort will guard your hearts and help you cope as He assures us in His word. Feel free to visit www.jw.org for more details about how Jehovah will bring about these blessings. Please accept my sincere condolences.
