Nicholas James Quintanilla

Nicholas James Quintanilla, 51, of Roscoe passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. Born June 25, 1966 in Rockford to Daniel and Victoria (Perez) Quintanilla. Married Ann L. Casazza September 30, 1989 in St. James Catholic Church, Rockford. Employed 21 years by Chrysler. Nicholas enjoyed watching his children play sports and fishing.

Survivors include wife, Ann L. Quintanilla of Roscoe; children, Samuel J. Quintanilla of Phoenix, AZ, Victoria A. Quintanilla of Florence, AL; siblings, Genoveva Christensen, Maria Jacobs, Joseph Quintanilla, Eva Gray, Linda (John) Danielson, Larry (Cindy) Quintanilla, John (Marlayna) Quintanilla, Ray (Noelia) Quintanilla, Andrew Quintanilla; numerous nieces, nephews, and loving friends. Predeceased by parents; and mother-in-law, Marilyn Casazza.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2017 in St. James Catholic Church, 409 N. 1st Street, Rockford. Burial in Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery, Pecatonica. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 4, 2017 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Roscoe Chapel, 11342 Main Street, Roscoe. Memorials may be given to the family to be used in Nicholas’s name at a later date.
