Mike and Sue-- So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. I have such fond memories of wonderful times at Lake Ripley and in Rockford. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May you find peace at this time and may your memories of her remain in your hearts forever. Warmly, Josie

Josie,
The pain is the price we pay for being close to someone. Mom left a huge hole in me, but friends like you make me remember the good times and things are a bit better. "Going on a lion hunt". Mike

Mary Lou was one of a kind and her family probably already knows. I just want you to know that she was loved by all those of us that she touched

My mother Rita and Mary Lou were friends for many years. Growing up it was a blast to hang out with the Yankitis family. So sorry for your loss.

It has been a joy to have known Mary Lou for over 30 years She has shared her love of books, history and Lake Ripley with me and my family. We loved her stories of Rockford and her annual Christmas letter. I will miss all those emails funny, political, and beloved animals. Most of all I will miss those talks over coffee and a sweet. Thank you Mary Lou for making me a better person. You will be missed.

So sorry to learn of Mary Lou's passing. We were e-mail "buddies" for 15 years or more because we shared similar opinions on many things. I shall miss hearing from her.

My condolences to the family. I grew up in Rockford and spent many hours playing with Bill and Tom. I remember getting a pretty good sun burn at the lake after hanging out on the raft. Many memories there on Harlem Bulivard. The family was always very kind to me. Prayers to the family.....wish all of you the best, I know that this can be a difficult time.

To Mary Lou's Family,
So very sorry to hear of your mother's passing. As a child my family stayed at
your cabins for many summers, I remember how warm and welcoming the Yankaitis family was. I had the pleasure of speaking with Mary Lou and Tom last summer and they were just as welcoming.
God bless you all,
Jan (Weeks) Gwaltney
