Marshall "Bud" Joseph Giles, 95 of Beloit, WI passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Premier Care Nursing Home. He was born October 10, 1922 in Superior, WI to Frank and Nellie (Moder) Giles. Marshall was a veteran of the US Navy and served from 1942–1946. He married his soulmate Genevieve Winek on July 5, 1947. He worked at Fairbanks Morse, Beloit, for a period of 5 years; he then went to Goss Printing Company, Rockford, retiring after 30 years in 1982. He enjoyed gardening and mowing lawn, also building things. He built their home on Merlet Road in Beloit. His passion was reading the Bible and attending church to worship. He spent much of his time helping around church doing repairs.
Marshall is survived by his wife, Genevieve; four sons, Thomas "Tom" (Debby Burtness) of Orfordville, WI, Patrick "Pat" (Berneice Myers), of Roscoe, Michael "Mike" (Lori Morris) of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, and Roger (Debra Morris) of Beloit; 13 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Marshall was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Willis; sister, Marcella; and one great-grandson, Turner Zimmerman.

Funeral service will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 with a visitation from 10:00am until the service in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 11342 Main Street, Roscoe. A visitation will also be held Monday night, June 4, from 6:00 to 8:00pm also in the funeral home. Burial in Floral Lawns Cemetery, South Beloit. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Food Pantry, 5414 Reimer Drive, PO Box 744 Roscoe, IL 61073 or Beloit Hospice, 655 3rd Street, #200, Beloit, WI 53511.
