Margaret Marie Schnell

Margaret Marie Schnell, 70, of Rockford passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020 with her husband by her side. Born March 14, 1949 in San Francisco, CA to Thomas and Mary (Orlando) Combs. Married Robert Schnell on July 11, 1969 in Rockford. Employed in food service by RPS 205 and also by Burger King for 18 years. Margaret enjoyed playing bingo, garage saling, watching movies and soap operas, going out to eat, caramel sundaes, Ice Hogs games and was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan and St. Louis Cardinal fan. Margaret attended the Salvation Army Church. She was known for being a selfless and kind person. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She will truly be missed by her friends and family. 

Survivors include husband of 50 years, Robert Schnell; children, Scott Schnell, Robert (Sarah) Schnell; grandchildren, Christian Schnell, Rosie Wildman and Matthew Hallman; siblings, Gertrude Combs, Tom Combs, Joseph Combs; aunts; uncles; nieces; and nephews. Predeceased by parents; grandson, Anthony; brother-in-law, Ron Schnell. The family would like to thank Generations at Neighbors for their kind and loving care. Also a special thanks to her nurse Cindy and to all of the cna's for their kind and compassionate care.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2020 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory–Mulford Chapel 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
