Maida R. Nowicki

Maida R. Nowicki, 96, of Rockford passed away January 9, 2020. Born March 1, 1923 in Leaf River, IL to Peter and Wanda (Wakenight) Milhaven. Previously employed by Rockford Mercantile Agency, Inc.

Survivors include children, Roger (Annette) Nowicki, Jeffery (Jan) Nowicki; grandchildren, Melissa Nowicki, Mary (Josh) Schaffer, Jennifer (Steven McDermott) Nowicki and Ryan (Brittany) Nowicki. Predeceased by husband, Robert. The family would like to thank Rockford Mercantile co-workers, Heartland Hospice and Bickford Assisted Living. A special thank you to Jennifer Nowicki, Steve McDermott, Noah, Amiya and Amelia McDermott for putting their lives on hold to care for Maida and allowing her to stay in her home as long as possible.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2020 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park with Pastor Joe Militello officiating. Visitation from 11:00 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Heartland Hospice.
