Lowell Jon Sebeck

Lowell Jon Sebeck, 83, of Poplar Grove passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019. Born June, 17, 1936 in Chicago to Louis and Laura (Hotze) Sebeck. A veteran of the US Navy Reserves during peacetime. Graduated from Southern Illinois University with a bachelor degree in Animal Husbandry with Science Option. Married Glenda Billington on September 6, 1958. Lowell was a member of the Gideons. He enjoyed gardening, raising animals and fishing. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include wife, Glenda Sebeck; children, Brett (Brenda) Sebeck, Leslie Winsler, Janine (Michael) LaDuke; grandchildren, Erin Truitt, Megan Sebeck, Shawn (Clarissa) Sebeck, Sunsette Winsler, Rebecca LaDuke, Ashley LaDuke, Katherine LaDuke, Joshua (Cassandra) LaDuke, Caleb LaDuke, Andrew LaDuke; great grandchildren, Lyric and Wren Truitt, Elaina Sebeck and one on the way and Levi LaDuke. Predeceased by parents.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in Harvard Bible Church, 5817 Island Rd., Harvard, IL 60033. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Gideons or the Child Evangelism Fellowship of Northern Illinois.
