Lowell T. Hagaman, 98, of Rockford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 1, 2018. Born in Rockford on October 20, 1919 to Ashley and Victoria (Anderson) Hagaman. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII then went on to work for 35 years at Sundstrand. Lowell was always there to help others. He enjoyed woodworking, nature, hiking and greatly enjoyed flying as a private pilot. He was a member of the Blackhawk Flying Club for many years and had a lifelong interest in aviation. Lowell was also active in Calvary Christian Church's Senior Group for many years.
Survivors include his three children, Karen (Harry) Brunner, Ronald (Maureen) Hagaman and Randall (Roberta) Hagaman; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Michael (Alejandra) and Matthew Hagaman; great-grandchild, Michelle Hagaman; sisters, Gloria Meden and Carol Hauser; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; wife, Doris; sisters, Marjorie Fagerburg, Jean McGraw, Cynthia Johnson; and infant brother, Robert.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, IL 61111 with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Severson Dells Nature Center, 8786 Montague Rd, Rockford, IL 61102.
