Leona Mae Miller, 87, of Machesney Park passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018. Born April 16, 1931 in Soldiers Grove, WI to Leo and Velma (Tainter) Maybee. Married Paul L. Miller on August 4, 1949 in Dubuque, IA. Retired after 38 years from the Butterfly Club, Beloit, WI. Leona enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, flowers, cooking and was especially known for her homemade potato salad and noodles. She loved cheering on her son and grandson as they raced their stock cars. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include husband, Paul L. Miller; children, Melody (Greg) McMaster, Monica Benzing, Mary (Dave) Herbst; most special daughter-in-law, Marie Miller; grandchildren, Amy, Erin, Kelly, Mandy, Jeremy, Ryan, David, Ashlee; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Marvelene Cleeton. Predeceased by sons, Jerry Miller and Robert “Bob” Miller.
Pallbearers, Jeremy Miller, Ryan Miller, Bryan Becker, Scott Rollinson, David Herbst and Eric DuBois. Honorary Pallbearer, Tim Jaenecke.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2018 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Roscoe Chapel, 11342 Main Street, Roscoe with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial in Rockton Township Cemetery, Rockton.
