LeRoy G. Garbers, 84, of Rockford passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017. Born October 21, 1932 in Sand Creek, WI to John and Sophia (Harmann) Garbers. Married Carol Meyer in Wisconsin on April 7, 1956. Veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War years 1950-1952.  A former member of the Moose Club, Verdi Club, and VFW. LeRoy enjoyed playing cards and camping.

Survivors include son, Gary (Pam) Garbers; daughter, Karen (Paul Craft) Garbers; grandchildren, Amber (Sheldon) Tullos, Gregory Garbers, Kristen Barnes; great-granddaughter, Savannah Tullos; brother, Hank Garbers; sisters, Dorothy Iverson, Elaine Stellick; and brother-in-law, Gordy Miller. Predeceased by wife, Carol; brothers, Arthur Garbers, Willis Garbers, Edwin Garbers; sisters, Deanne Garbers, Louise Evans, Sylvia Miller, and Margie Schroeder. A special thanks to Heartland Hospice, Home Instead Senior Care, Madison VA, and Rockford VA.

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory -Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park with a visitation from 3:00 p.m. until time of service.
