Lawrence E. Schumacher

Lawrence E. Schumacher, 66, of Belvidere passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by family, on Monday, March 4, 2019. Larry was born February 5, 1953 in Red Bud, IL to Bud and Mary Rose (Zapf) Schumacher. He married Gwen Waser on March 29, 1975 in Belvidere. Larry was a proud member of Electrician’s Union Local 364, working at Vecchio Signs for over twenty years. In his spare time, Larry enjoyed the simple things like building model cities and cars, Monster trucks, vacations in Gulf Shores, AL and most importantly spending time with his family and grand babies. 

Survivors include wife of 43 years, Gwen Schumacher; children, Jeremy (Erin) Schumacher, Clarissa (Jeff) Craft; grandchildren, Jackson and Evan Schumacher, Evelyn and Carl Craft; and sister, Susan Schumacher. Predeceased by parents.
