Kenneth T. McGrew, Jr., 74, of Rockford passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018. Born October 21, 1943 in Pascola, MO to Kenneth T. and Bernice (Tice) McGrew, Sr. A veteran of the US Air Force serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis and peacetime. Married to Aliza Sawicki for 53 years. Owner of Ken’s Appliance and Refrigeration Services. Ken founded Unique Street Rods car club in the 1970s. He enjoyed buying, building, selling and working on street rods.
Survivors include wife, Aliza McGrew; daughters, Cynthia Faith, Julie Bunch; grandchildren, Nicholas McGrew, Tyler Bunch, Kasi Faith; granddaughter, Lillianna; brother, Bobby (Kathleen) McGrew; sisters, Brinda (Brian) Walker, Linda (Keith) Montgomery; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by parents; sister, Patricia; and son-in-law, Kevin Faith.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2018 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
