Kellie Ray

Kellie Ray, 56, of Rockford, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2019 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 17, 1963 in Rockfalls, Illinois to Richard and Ethel (Williams) Heerdt. Kellie had a passion for adult coloring books using her prisma colored pencils, crafts and tiny houses. She enjoyed attending Gentle Shepherd Fellowship. Kellie's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and her dogs, Coco and Buddy.

Survivors include her father, Richard Heerdt; children, Jerry (Jessica) Grenoble and Josh (Michelle) Grenoble; grandchildren, Julian, Averie, Landon, Alayna and Keaton Grenoble; sister, Toni Norman; fiance, Ken Evans; dogs, Coco and Buddy. Predeceased by her mother, Ethel Heerdt; sister, Connie Heerdt; close companion, Jerry Grenoble Sr.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Gentle Shepherd Fellowship, 2905 Bildahl St., Rockford, IL 61109 with visitation from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family.
