Karon Bjork Obituary

Karon D. Bjork, 70, of Loves Park, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018 after a long illness.  Born on February 1, 1948 in Rockford to Edward and Louise (Parks) Stepp; married Mark E. Bjork June 10, 1989.  Karon worked most of her life as a secretary and retired December, 2010.  Karon loved being around her children,  grandchldren, family and friends.  She also enjoyed reading novels, bowling, working outside and especially loved watching Chicago Bears football games with her husband, Mark; she was a huge Chicago Bears fan.

Survivors include her husband, Mark; son Mike (Kris) Miller; daughter, Holly (Jim) Burke; mother, Louise Stepp; grandsons, Taylor Heib, Dennis Morales, Jr. and Gavin Burke; granddaughters, Angelina and Katelyn Miller; brother, Jim (Pat McGarvy) Stepp; brother-in-law, Bob Feary; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by father, Edward Stepp; son, Adam Miller; sisters, Doris Feary and Judy (John) Guglielmetti; and grandparents.

Special thanks to MercyHealth at Home Hospice, Nadine Raia and Jody Baxley for all the love, care and support they gave to Karon.

Funeral service will be at 12:00 noon with a Visitation from 10:30am until the service on Saturday, June 16, 2018 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family or Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary.
