Julia Marie Mason

Julia Marie Mason, 32, of Rockton, IL, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017, in the presence of family.  Julia was born on January 14, 1985, in Washington Township, NJ, to Judith (Spegele) and Charles Mason.  

Previously of Keene, NH, Julia graduated from Keene State College with a degree in Communications.  She also received her Licensed Nursing Assistant certification, of which she was very proud. She always had a passion for helping people.

Julia is survived by her father, Charles R. Mason of Rockton, IL; and sisters, Stacia (Daniel) Bartlett of Rockton, and Karlyn (Felipe) Vina of Miami, FL.  She was the proud "cool aunt" to Samantha, Joshua and Alexander Bartlett.  Julia was also survived by many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and her faithful, furry companion, Dexter Yoda II Mason.  She is predeceased by her mother, Judith (Spegele) Mason and grandparents, Mona and Rudolf Spegele and Mary Rita and Donald Robert Mason.

Julia was so loved as a daughter, sister, and friend, and was always there to support and help friends and family.  She was the life of any party and loved making others laugh.  She delighted in working with children and had a dream to teach someday.  Her hobbies included reading, decorating, and shopping.  Her favorite spot in the world was Cape May Point, NJ. 

A funeral service will be held at 6:00pm with a Visitation from 4:00pm until the service on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Roscoe Chapel, 11342 Main Street, Roscoe.
