Johnnie Arlie Jones

Johnnie Arlie Jones, 83, of Machesney Park passed away Friday, May 26, 2017. Born February 22, 1934 in Rock Falls to Arlie Frances and Dorothy Emmaline (Martin) Jones. Married Sharon Rhea Andrews in Rockton in 1960. Retired from Belvidere Products. Johnnie enjoyed studying his bible every day, fishing, tending to his backyard garden, grapevines, strawberry patch, and tulips, along with family game nights. He will be remembered as a shrewd strategist when playing games, especially cards. Johnnie was an impeccable man. He loved his family unfailingly, and served God with every ounce of his being. He gave everything he had, always for his family.

Survivors include children, Ramona (Irvin) McKee, Kevin Jones, Reginea McCarthy, Keith (Larry Belvill) Jones, Vikki (Hector) DeMus, Matthew (Melissa) Jones; grandchildren, James, Sharon, Audrea, Victoria, Brandy, Hector, Jr., Brittnay, Olivia, Miranda, Cecilia, Elyssa; great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Jaidah, James, Jr., Anthony, Jacob, Christian, Rhealynn, Abel, Jailynn, Lexi, Jasper, Jeriemiah; brother, Ralph (Loretta) Jones; sister, Janice (Bob) Daniels; sisters-in-law, Kathy Jones, and ReaAnn Jones. Predeceased by parents; wife, Sharon Jones; brothers, Kenneth R. Jones, Herbert A. Jones, and Richard Jones.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory - Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, with a visitation from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers pennies and donations will be collected for Hoo Haven.
