Jimmie Lee Childress, III, 22, of Rockford, passed away suddenly Monday, February 18, 2019. He was born on May 19, 1996 in Rockford to Sheila Sneath and Cavin Hawkins and Jimmie Lee Childress, Jr. Jimmie was engaged to Tatiana Frescas, whom he loved very much for the past six years. He also loved his fur baby, Mocha, who was his best friend. He graduated from Guilford High School and went on to be a great soldier for the National Guard for two years. After being honorably discharged from the military, he became a mechanic at Sears. Jimmie had a passion for gaming. He would game for hours and was known as Cricket or Chillbreed in the gaming world. He also enjoyed fishing and finding new fishing spots. Jimmie loved sports, especially basketball, football and soccer.
Survivors include his fiance, Tatiana Frescas; mother, Sheila Sneath; step-father, Cavin Hawkins; father, Jimmie Lee Childress. Jr.; siblings, Hezekiah, Isaiah, Syh, Reina, Jeremiah and Joseph; nephew, Hezekiah, II and Jayden; grandparents, Ronald and Patricia Keckler; second mother, Rachel Frescas; numerous loving aunts and uncles.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, Illinois 61111 with Rev. Wendell Maynard officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until time of service.
