Jeffrey S. Adams

Jeffrey Scott Adams, 69, passed away in Rockford, IL on December 27, 2019. Jeff was surrounded by his loving wife and family. Jeff was born to Donald and Eleanor Adams in Elgin, IL on February 13, 1950. He was a mechanic most of his life and could name the make and model of nearly every car he saw. Jeff was known for his witty sense of humor, great taste in music, and his ability to draw trains and cars. His love for conversation and storytelling impacted everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Jeff. 

Jeff was a warrior who battled against his Muscular Dystrophy. Despite such a debilitating disease, Jeff refused to allow Muscular Dystrophy to define him or hold him back from living his best life. He was cared for by his loving wife, Kathy Adams, who worked endlessly to help Jeff enjoy the activities he always loved. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Eleanor Adams; his brother, Michael Adams; his nephews, Daniel Brevik and Michael Adams Jr. and his cousin, David Smith. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Adams; Dale and (Marianne) Brevik; his niece, Elise Brevik; his nephew, Craig Adams; his cousins Pamela (Kenneth) Huske, and Catherine Smith. Jeff treasured all of his relationships with his family members, church family, and friends. He was so loved by all and will be cherished forever in their hearts. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Roscoe United Methodist Church, 10816 Main St., Roscoe, Illinois 61073. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. in Roscoe United Methodist Church with visitation from 10:30 a.m. until time of service.
