Jean Ann Streit

Jean Ann Streit, 89, of Pecatonica passed away Sunday, October 6, 2019. Born December 30, 1929 in Rockford to Lloyd and Elizabeth (Moser) Hedges. Married Richard John Streit on July 10, 1951 in Rockford. A lifelong member of St. Bridget Catholic Church, Loves Park. Jean enjoyed reading, knitting, sewing and volunteering.

Survivors include children, Kevin (Jo) Streit of Roscoe, Karla (Gary) Moore of Pecatonica, Kelley (Greg) Richards of Oregon; grandchildren, Keri, Katie Jean, Megan, Andrew, Sean, Joseph, Bethany; great grandchildren, Tylor, Austyn, Evan, Shea, Brianna, Tristan, Finley, Summer, Cali Jean; siblings, Roger (Ida) Fohey, Bill (Kathy) Hedges, Jill (John) Ditsch; brother-in-law, Fred (Anne) Streit; and special friends, Ray and DeDe McDaniel, Terri Dull, Jim and Delores Hall. Predeceased by husband, Richard.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 10, 2019 in St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Avenue, Loves Park, with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. in the church. Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Machesney Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family to be used in Jean’s name at a later date.
