Jacqueline "Jackie" S. Friedl McGonigal

Jacqueline "Jackie" S.  Friedl McGonigal, 70, of Caledonia died Sunday, September 17, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family, after a silent battle with cancer. Born to Allan and Elinor (Brown) Showers on June 15, 1947. She was a graduate of North Boone High School, Poplar Grove.  Jackie was a brilliant businesswoman, whom with her late husband, John Friedl, built a strong, and reputable carpet cleaning business that she ran until her passing.  She was widely known as the voice of the business that would take the time to talk to her customers and genuinely build a strong rapport with them that later blossomed into a loyal customer base.  It was often joked that many customers would just call in to talk to Jackie whether they really needed a cleaning service or not.  She loved to spend time with her friends and family, and will be especially missed for her infectious laughter. 

Jackie is survived by her husband, Charles McGonigal; her children; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers; sisters; nieces and nephews.  Jackie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be dearly missed. The family would like to thank OSF Hospice for their amazing and loving care they provided Jackie and her family.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Roscoe Chapel, 11342 Main Street, Roscoe, Illinois 61073 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
