Gordon H. Askvig

Gordon H. Askvig, 67, of Machesney Park passed away Friday, February 2, 2018. Born October 30, 1950 in Rockford to Charles and Betty (White) Askvig. A veteran of the US Army Air Corps serving in the Vietnam War. Employed for 20 years by Curtis Metal. Married Debbie Brooks on June 14, 2003. Gordon enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle, truck driving, cooking, dancing with his wife Debbie, and drumming with Freddy Fender and Dr. Hook.

Survivors include wife, Debbie Askvig; children, Brad Askvig, Gordy Askvig, Jr., Clinton Askvig, Annie Askvig; siblings, Dorlan (Linda) Olson, and Gary (Vicki) Askvig. Predeceased by parents; and brother, Roger Askvig.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory–Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials made to the family will be appreciated.
