Gloria M. Heid

Gloria M. Heid, 82, of Rockford, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018. She was born on September 8, 1935 in Winslow, Illinois to Ernest and Edith (Atz) Williams. She graduated from Winslow High School and married Loyal Heid on April 14, 1955 in Lena. He predeceased her on May 25, 2015. They had two children, Pam Lanman and Curtis Heid. Gloria earned her LPN degree from Rockford Memorial Hospital and was employed in the Rehab Department for over 20 years. She was also a volunteer for several years and was a former member of the Church of the Brethren and most recently attended Riverside Community Church. In her years of retirement she enjoyed all crafts, reading and playing cards. Family time with her granddaughters and great-grandkids. 

Survivors include her son, Curtis of Las Vegas; son-in-law, Paul Lanman of Loves Park; granddaughter, Jessica (John) Kaaihue of Rockton; Rachael (Bryan) Knops of Wilmington, North Carolina; great-grandchildren, Aliyah and Jacob; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband and daughter, Pam Lanman.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Riverside Community Church with Pastor Bobby Sheets officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Entombment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
