Gladys Ruth Dunning, 89, of Rockford, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019. Born February 7, 1930 in Mitchellville, TN to Elbert and Florie Mae (Taylor) Coker. Married Raymond R. Dunning on December 14, 1946 in Franklin, KY. Employed by Delco before moving to Rockford and becoming a homemaker. Gladys enjoyed gardening, golfing, word searches and western films. She taught Sunday school and loved the Lord.
Survivors include sisters, Betty (Duncan) Wilson-Jones, Sandye Torphy; daughter-in-law, Gayle Dunning; grandchildren, David Andrew (Melissa) Dunning, Jr., Timothy Aaron (Jennifer) Dunning, Rachel Elizabeth (Nathaniel Love) Cox; great-grandchildren, David (Victoria) Dunning, Jr., Elizabeth Diane Dunning, Hannah Faye Dunning; nephews, Phil (Sheri) Wilson, Bob (Penny) Wilson, John (Melonie) Wilson; and nieces, Allison (Tommy) Toutges and Ashley Coffee. Predeceased by husband; and son, Raymond E. Dunning.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2019 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Private burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family.
