Gary Lee Wendt

Gary Lee Wendt, 73, of Belvidere, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016. He was born on May 8, 1943 in Wausau, Wisconsin to Norman and Dorothy (Giese) Wendt. Gary was the owner and founder of Eagle Video Production Company for over 30 years. He was also a member of the Rock Valley Ski Association for over 30 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, RV camping, ATV riding, boating, snow skiing and spending time at Apple Canyon Lake. He will be remembered for his creativity, sense of humor, and kindness.

Survivors include his son, Jason Wendt of Chicago; significant other, Diane Stienstra; sisters, Diane (John) Loeffler of Pennsylvania and Karen (Tom) Wadinski of Wisconsin; nieces, Lori and Paula; nephew, John.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2016 in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park 61111 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Lutheran School of Wausau, Wisconsin, The Salvation Army of Rockford, and The Rock River Valley Food Pantry.
