Gary R. Sutherland

Gary R. Sutherland, 72, of Rockford, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018.  Born in Rockford on July 30, 1945 to William and Aletha (Folkerts) Sutherland. A veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam War; years 1966 - 1968. He married Jeanne Kobischka on October 5, 1968 in Rockford; she predeceased him.  Gary worked at Forgings and Stampings for 30 years.  He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, enjoyed word searches, art and spending time with family.

He is survived by his daughters, Andrea (Gary) Ehrhardt of Rockford, Tracy (Joel) Klitz of Rockford and Monica Sutherland of Loves Park; grandchildren, Alex (Sudu), Jacob, Andrew, Ryan, Sam, Cliff, Sarah, Caitlin and Zach; great-grandchild, Aiden; sister, Beverly (Forest) Shearer; and several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by parents; wife; and sister, Marcia.

Memorial service will be at 11:00am on Saturday, April 14, 2018 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park.
