Eric Paluzzi Obituary

Eric A. Paluzzi, 33, of Madison, Wisconsin, went on ahead of us on Friday, February 23, 2018. Born on October 29, 1984 in Rockford, Illinois where he grew up playing baseball and watching football, later becoming a die hard Packer fan and season ticket holder. After graduating Jefferson High School, he moved to Madison where he graduated from Madison Media Institute. He and Richard Carr formed Five Star Promotions and promoted live acts in Madison. They held shows at The Orpheum Stage Door Theater, a quaint venue perfecting for starting out. Shows were also held at The High Noon Saloon, The Annex and The Orpheum. These were good times and some really great shows. Eventually he returned to Lakeland College and earned the Degree of Bachelor of Arts.

Eric was a kind and giving man with a huge heart and deep love and respect for his family, cherishing the time he could spend with them. He would strike up conversation with anyone and end up with a new friend. He was generous with his knowledge and dedicated to his work. A loyal friend to so many and always ready with a smile, hug or high five. Of course, Eric loved to have fun. The Freak Fest for Halloween was always a must as was the Taste of Madison in the summer. But it was his passion for music that was undeniable. He helped so many friends attend their "first show." His eyes would sparkle and he was overly enthusiastic to tell you about the band or concert he had been to, spilling every detail from the opening song, light show, solos, encore and finally the stage crew. He attended countless shows, resulting in one of the largest ticket stubs and set list collections known to man.

Becoming a father was gratifying to Eric and he looked forward to and thoroughly cherished spending time with his son. Though Oliver is a baby with special needs, he and Alyssa accepted this challenge head on. He loved his little guy and every new discovery that he made. Oliver will miss his Daddy.

He leaves behind the love of his life, Alyssa Koelsch; son, Oliver; parents, Therese Gilliam and Dan Emerson; sisters, Melody and Rachel; brother, Scott; grandmother, Doris Paluzzi; grandfather, Gary Emerson; loving aunts, uncles and cousins; best friends, Ed, Ari and Lucas and the rest of the world which he referred to as "friends." Predeceased by grandmother, Patricia Emerson; grandfather, Frank Paluzzi; uncle, Michael Paluzzi.
