Edward L. Hill

Edward L. Hill, 92, of Rockford passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018. Born March 12, 1926 in Rockford to Walter and Edith (Lundstrom) Hill. A veteran of the US Army serving during WWII in the 4th Armored Division under General Patton operating a tank. Married Donna Lux on January 22, 1949 in Court Street Methodist Church, Rockford. Edward was a Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed watching the news. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include children, Deborah High, Linda Lawrence, Dana Hill; grandchildren, Mark Hill, Kroy (Brittany) Hill, Angelica Hill, Jason Skogeboe, Tonya Hodge, Christian Hill, Marshall Hill, Charlotte Hill, Lawrence Skogeboe; and daughter-in-law, Tammy Hill. Predeceased by wife, Donna; son, Kevin Hill; son-in-law, Paul Lawrence; 3 brothers; and 1 sister.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2018 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park with a visitation from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
