Donald E. Loberg, 86, of Caledonia, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 in his daughter and son-in-law's home, surrounded by family. Don was born in Rockford on December 17, 1931, the son of Elmer and Florence Loberg. He was drafted into the U.S. Army, and proudly served during the Korean War. After his service to his country, Don married Rose Mule' on May 21, 1955. He was a member of St. Anthony Church. Religion and ethics were a cornerstone of his life. Don worked as a machinist at Elco Industries, retiring after 45 years of service. Don loved his family, enjoyed working in his yard, and was an avid Cubs fan.
He is survived by his son, Mark (Kim) Loberg and their family; daughter Renee (Steve) Fink; grandchildren, Amy Fink, Ben Fink, Joe (Emily) Fink; great-grandchildren, Landon and Addison Fink; and loyal brother, Gary (Janice) Loberg. Predeceased by his wife, Rose.

Visitation will be from 10:00am to 11:00am on Monday, June 18, 2018 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park 61111. Graveside service will be at 11:45am in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 8616 West State Road, Winnebago, 61088.
