Darris "Pete" Ivers

Darris “Pete” Ivers, 89, of Rockford passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017. Born March 22, 1928 in Boscobel, WI, the son of Earl and Lucille (McDowell) Ivers. Married Barbara Jean Torrisi February 2, 1952; she died in 1998. Pete worked, owned and operated the Motor Hotel, along with operating several other service stations.

Survivors include daughters, Susan (Bill) Raabe of Rockford, Kathy Hamer of Las Vegas; 3 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by wife, Barbara; and parents.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 10, 2017 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park with a visitation from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.
