Daniel "Jim" J. Breitbach

Daniel “Jim” James Breitbach, 61, of Roscoe passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017 after a short, but courageous, battle with cancer. Born November 30, 1956 in Galena to Donald Clarence and Norma Ann (Davis) Breitbach. A graduate of Galena High School class of 1975. Veteran of the US Navy. Married Karen Peterson February 14, 1978 in Rockford. Employed by Rock River Ford for several years and by many other dealerships in the Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin areas. Jim enjoyed planting trees and flowers, and working in the yard. 

Survivors include son, Ryan Breitbach; grandson, Milo Breitbach; siblings, Joe Breitbach, Martha (Terry) Smith, Donna Trevarthen, Margo (Joe) Pink; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by wife, Karen; daughter, Ashley Breitbach and brother, Michael Breitbach.

Memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2018 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Roscoe Chapel, 11342 Main Street, Roscoe with a visitation from 4:00 p.m. until time of service. Memorials may be given to the family to be established in Jim’s name at a later date.
