Dale Merwin Morris, 76, of Hixton, WI passed away June 3, 2018, in his home after a long illness. Born September 7, 1941, in Rockford, IL, the son of Paul and Alice Morris. Dale had many jobs in his lifetime, but he was most proud of being a Rockford firefighter (1969- 1983). He married Rosemary Donnelly of Black River Falls, WI in 2006. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and target shooting.
Dale is survived by his wife, Rose; son, Steven (Patty) Morris; daughter, Kathy (Brett) Ruiz; stepchildren, Travis (Laura) Rebarchek, Justin (Sarah) Rebarchek, Joshua (Sarah) Vollman, Audra (Chris) Ackerman; brothers, Larry (Candy) Morris and Kevin (Sandy) Morris; grandchildren, Stephanie (Scott) Clark, Brandon Morris, Joline Morris, Jordan (Sarah) Morris, Michael Ruiz, Nicholas Ruiz, Alexis Rebarchek, Yazmin Rebarchek, Travis Rebarchek Jr., Joshua Rebarchek, Anna Rebarchek, Dominick Rebarchek, Ethan Rebarchek, Jacob Rebarchek, Guinevere Rebarchek, Simon Rebarchek, Uriah Ackerman, Walter Ackerman, Annabella Ackerman and Levi Vollman. Predeceased by parents and brothers, Marvin and Mark.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Rock Church, 6732 Harrison Ave, Rockford, IL 61108. A visitation will be held at the church from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 8. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
