Charles Kruse Obituary

Charles “Chuck” Elmer Kruse, 78, of Roscoe, IL passed away on March 3, 2024 with family by his side. Born July 3, 1945, in Osceola, WI to Elmer Kruse and Lorraine Zuehlke. Charles graduated from Glenwood City High School in 1963, he then went on to serve in the United States Air Force. After that, he obtained his masters certificate in Supervision.

Charles married Rose Mary Spataro on June 1, 1968; together they were married 55 years. He worked as a manufacturing manager in a waste water treatment. Charles also was an inventor with 3 patents. After retirement, he kept busy as an owner and president of Instrument Services.

Charles had many hobbies; he specifically had an interest in cars and attending car shows. He enjoyed watching trains go by and going on car cruises. Charles loved to repair things and find ways to make them better. Most importantly, he loved his whole family, especially his grandsons and spending time with them.

Survived by his wife, Rose Mary Kruse; children, Lori (John) Robertson; grandchildren, Riley (Niki) Robertson and Ross Robertson; sisters, Kathy (Bill) Struck, Karen (Shaun) Gauld, and Carol (Ralph) Andrea; brothers, Roger Kruse, Fred (Jan) Kruse; brothers-in-law, Tony (Martha) Spataro and Joe Spataro; several nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Lorraine Kruse; in-laws, Frank and Caroline Spataro; granddaughter, Karyssa Robertson; sister-in-law, Sandy Kruse.

Cremation rites have been accorded and Charles will be laid to rest at Roscoe Cemetery.
