Caritina Delgado

Caritina Delgado (Cari), 56, passed away on February 21, 2019 at Presence Saint Anne Center.  She was born on February 28, 1962 in Mexico to Guadalupe Delgado and Teresa Macias. Cari enjoyed taking care of many nieces and nephews like they were her own children this gave her a her purpose and the will to keep fighting.  She found joy in life, even when life had given her so many health problems over the last 33 years of her life.  Among some of her favorite things to do she loved to listen to music and keeping in touch with all her family and friends that lived afar.  Spending time with family and friends brought her many happy moments, which fueled her desire to keep fighting.

Caritina is survived by her parents, Guadalupe and Teresa; along with 8 brothers, Antolio, Berna, Lupe, Baldo, Armando, Roberto, Rosario, Efren; 2 sisters, Sabina and Antonia, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her brother, Manuel Delgado. 

A very heartfelt Thank You to Dennis Sweeney who was her special friend.  He was with her during some of her most difficult times, including during her last moments of life.  Special Thanks to all her friends and family that were a wonderful support system to her during her many years of battle with her declining health.  We truly appreciate your Time, Devotion and your Love for Caritina. 

Memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, Illinois 61111 with Pastor Carlos E. Roji Cornejo officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
