Barbara Lynn Koppen

Barbara Lynn Koppen, 66, of Rockford passed away Friday, May 11, 2018. Born June 12, 1951 in Chicago to Wilbur and Dorothy (Hollinger) Barkman. Married Dennis G. Koppen October 27, 1979 in Elgin. Previously employed as a nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Elgin, Swedish American Hospital, and Singer Mental Health Center, Rockford. Barbara enjoyed volunteering for Vietnow, spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Tracey (John) Koppen-Davis, Terence Koppen, Kelly Koppen; grandchildren, Oscar, Jack, Finn; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018 in Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 2715 S. Mulford Road, Rockford with a visitation from 12:00 p.m. until time of service.
