Annette Stewart, 56, passed from this life July 21, 2017 at her home in Roscoe, IL after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on August 27, 1960 to Arthur and Helen (Gawlik) Sweet in Beloit, WI. Annette was raised in Belvidere, graduated from Belvidere High School and attended Rock Valley College. Annette started her career with White Sundstrand and most recently worked as a Commodity Planner for Regal Beloit. Annette enjoyed socializing with her close friends, boating, traveling, gardening, caring for her dogs and feeding the wild birds. She was a long time member of the Humane Society of the U.S.
She is survived by her siblings, Vanessa Sweet, Robert Sweet and Kenneth Sweet, all of Rockford. Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Arthur Sweet and husband, Merle Stewart.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Thursday, August 10, 2017 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Roscoe Chapel, 11342 Main Street, Roscoe. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Humane Society of the U.S.
