Anita Priscilla Steiner

Anita Priscilla Steiner, 91 of Rockford, IL, formerly of Ferryville, WI, was welcomed into heaven's gates Monday, July 16, 2018, surrounded by her family. Born July 4, 1927, in Ferryville, WI, to Mabel Bolstad. Married Donald R. Steiner in December of 1947. Employed in security, and later as a cook for Bergner’s until her retirement. She enjoyed a good party, bingo, daytime tv, and shopping.  Anita was the best mother, always putting her family first. She will be remembered for her generosity and many acts of love, from cooking favorite meals and desserts to always specially-chosen gifts. She treated every family member, friend, and cat, with special importance.

Survivors include sons, Dan (Karen) Steiner, Kerry (Cheryl) Steiner, Kevin (Phyllis) Steiner, Darin (Sonya) Steiner, Kurt Steiner, Derrick Steiner; daughter, Ingrid (Mark) Wedige; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Predeceased by parents; husband; son, David; 2 brothers.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2018, in Freeman Lutheran Cemetery, 58942 CR-B, Ferryville, WI 54628.
