William G. St. John

William "Bill" G. St. John, 79, of Rockford passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017.  Born on October 3, 1937, son of Parlee St. John and Tenia Peterson Pozzani.  Graduate of East High School and a service manager and master mechanic in Rockford for many years. Member of the LLL Club, Blackhawk and VFW. Bill had a passion for fast Chevys and playing with engines of any kind.

Survived by his wife of 61 years, Vivian (West); children, Mark (Dana) St. John, Marcy (Mike) Boyd, Beth (Jeff) Bakunowicz; grandchildren, Sara, Alex, Katie, Danielle, Lindsey, Noah, Jonah, Matthew and Natalie; great-grandchild, Logan; brother, Jim Pozzani; sisters, Patsy, Carol and Pam; many nieces, nephews and special friends.  Predeceased by parents; brother, Jack St. John and grandson, Lucas Mark St. John.

Memorial service will be at 7:00pm with a visitation from 6:00pm until the service on Thursday, June 29, 2017 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family to be used in William's name at a later date.
