Truman C. Norton

Rockford - Truman C. Norton of Rockford passed away February 3, 2008 after a short bout with cancer. Born September 5, 1939 to Gay and Edna (Rice) Norton in Marshall, NC. Married Patricia Cooper in 1956. He enjoyed bingo, classic cars, bowling and sports. Survived by his wife Patricia of Rockford; daughters Debra (Mike) Foote and Linda (Steven) March, both of North Carolina; grandchildren, Laura Moyer, Jason Norton, Amanda (Jason) Benney, and Ann Thornton; great-grandchildren, Patricia Norton, Tyler Norton, Noah Benney and Andrew Hanvey; brother, Chub (Cheri) Norton and sisters, VernaLee Hymen, Barb (Pete) Shurman and Melda Wright; mother-in-law Vesta Cooper; brothers-in-law Larrell, Byron and Michael Cooper; sisters-in-law Kathleen Swafford, Jeanette Corrigan and Cynthia Snow; special friends Michelle Wilson, Kenny Hanvey and Shane Fetterly and dozens of west-end children. Predeceased by parents, father-in-law Vernon Cooper and nephew Brent Norton. Funeral Service on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Rockford Chapel, 4311 N.
