Tina "Button" Marie Morris

Tina “Button” Marie Morris, 41, of Machesney Park passed away peacefully in her home after a hard-fought battle with cancer surrounded by family on Saturday, May 13, 2017. Born February 7, 1976 in Woodstock, daughter of Mark Ellis and Christine (Schroeder) Wendt. United in marriage to her soulmate of 10 years, Roger Morris on September 17, 2011. Wonderful Mother of three. Tina was a graduate of Belvidere High School. She worked hard at being a mother and wife first, also working all of her adult life as a bartender and a waitress at the Robin's Nest Cafe. Aside from work, she loved being with friends and family. She enjoyed fishing, getting tattoos, watching her favorite TV shows such as The Bachelorette, working out, playing mud volleyball, going to concerts, coloring, shopping, and being at home.

Survived by husband Roger; daughters, Raven, Nicole, Vivian; mother, Christine (John) Wendt; father, Mark (Patty Uden) Ellis; siblings, Nick Ellis, Mark Ellis, Jr., Johnny (Deana) Uden; grandmother, Grace Schroeder; grandchildren, Illujah; Benjamin Ellis; mother-in-law, Barbara (Richard) Wicker; father-in-law, Roger Sr. (Sue) Morris; brother-in-law, John (Erika) Morris; sister-in-law, Michelle Morris; a niece; many nephews; aunts; uncles; and cousins. Predeceased in death by Grandma Ellis; Grandpa Leroy; Aunt Christy and Uncle Butch. Special thanks to caregiver Jacklyn Davenport, Missy from Hospice, Jen from OSF Home Care, Dr. Shaukat, Dr. Ahmad, and Dr. Lococo.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park, with a visitation from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.
