Ronald Gene Smuck

Ronald Gene Smuck, Sr., 77, of Rockford passed away Monday, June 26, 2017. Born December 18, 1939 in Rockford to Gerald and Della (Rush) Smuck. A veteran of the US Army during peacetime. Married Dorothy Marie Hagie June 23, 1962 in Rockford. Ronald enjoyed woodworking, riding his bike with his wife Dorothy, and throwing a few back after a long day of work.

Survivors include wife, Dorothy Smuck; sons, Ronald Smuck, Jr., Aaron Smuck; grandchildren, Brandy Boxwood, Shelly Hose, Justin Brock, Nick Brock; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Sue Zimmerman, Nancy Spray; and brother, Larry Smuck. Predeceased by parents; and two daughters, Dawn Parkinson, and Robin Brock.

Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 30, 2017 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the Eagle’s Club, 3829 11th Street, Rockford following the memorial service.
