Robert E. Wetter

Robert E. Wetter, 72, of Rockford passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Born July 14, 1945 in Dixon to Jack and Avis (Williams) Wetter. A veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam War, years 1966-1969. Graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Married Sandra Spear January 10, 1970 in Mt. Morris. Retired after 25 years as an accountant from Sundstrand. Bob enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Survivors include wife, Sandra Wetter; children, Joe (Jill) Wetter, Jackie Wetter-Binger; grandchildren, Eli, Molly, Charlotte, Mia, Sophie, Abby; brothers, Jerry (Pam) Wetter, Ed (Madelon) Wetter; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents.

Per Bob’s wishes no services are to be held. Memorials may be given to OSF Hospice.
