Richard "Dick" A. Jones

Richard A. “Dick” Jones, 84, of Rockford, the youngest child of Charles Avery and Edith (Osborn) Jones passed on Sunday, August 21, 2016 due to natural causes. Richard was raised on the family’s Stanstead Woods Farm, a successful dairy operation in Ogle County, IL. He served in the US Army, then returning to the family farm where he worked sun up till sun down tending the fields and dairy herd. Upon his retirement from farming, Dick lived in Seward, IL, and at the Skyrise in Rockford before health issues brought him to River Bluff Nursing Home in Rockford where he lived until his passing.

Richard is survived by 17 nieces and nephews; and many, many more greats and great greats! Predeceased by parents; siblings, Marshall Jones, Marian Jones Frew; and nephew, Daniel Jones.

Gravesides service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2016 in Middle Creek Cemetery, 12473 Montague Road, Winnebago, IL 61088.
